I am as much a scientist as an artist. Every idea, piece, or structure I create is an experiment.
My pursuit in finding some meaning in the unknown using multiple mediums is never fully
conclusive, however the journey to that conclusion arises new questions waiting to be
answered. I am captivated by countless curiosities every single day, I'm always finding
something new to investigate.
My disappointment in the STEM industries and environments I had once been a part of has
only led me to become even more intrigued by them, albeit with a much different approach.
The dynamics of these workspaces and the physical processes I familiarized myself with
remains a heavy undercurrent in my works.
The inorganic matter that has festered our world can only coexist with us for so long, and as
artificial intelligence and surveillance technologies only get more advanced and blur the
lines between realities which we cannot physically control, I aim to make viewers deliberate
the materials which sustain us, even if some are slowly corroding us in the process.
My main medium, and first experiment, is painting. I approach the surfaces I paint on like
film sets; spaces and bodies that can be stretched beyond proportions. My actors are
various figures — humans, animals, monsters, machines.
I am also fascinated with dreams, the trail our subconscious leads us to, and the unsettling
presences within them. There is a silent horror surrounding the subjects in my works,
always lurking in the depths like a shadow. I believe we are all mirrors of the perceptions of
our environments, and my pieces are distorted reflections of these visions.
